The Barvechos Base raid occurred in 2019 when American special forces and Kataris 26 robbed the Santa Blanca Cartel's headquarters in Bolivia's Barvechos Province of hundreds of millions of dollars.
Santa Blanca influence underboss Nidia Flores kept hundreds of millions of dollars in Brazilian cocaine market profits in a vault at the Banco de Barvechos. On discovering this, Major Anthony Perryman contacted Kataris 26 leader Pac Katari to set up a heist. Perryman and his Ghost Recon team assaulted the base, and they forced cartel lieutenant Pio Saavedra to hand over the vault codes. The Ghosts proceeded to clear the vault of sicarios before calling in the communist guerrillas to pick up the cash bales. Cartel reinforcements were sent in to recover the money, but Perryman and his team gunned them down as Kataris 26 guerrillas began to arrive. With the money stolen, Kataris 26 spread rumors that the cartel accountant Octavio Allende had arranged the heist to get back at Nidia, exacerbating the breach between the two.
