Bart V. Thayer (1845-1898) was an American lawman of the Wild West who lived in Tumbleweed, Apache County, Arizona during the 1890s. In 1898, he and several other peace officers were killed in a shootout with two outlaws in a shootout in Tumbleweed which was witnessed by the Arizona Kid.
