Barry "Big Bear" Thorne was an African-American gangster and a member of the Grove Street Families gang.
Biography[]
Barry Thorne was born in Compton, California to an African-American family, and he was one of the original members of the Grove Street Families gang. However, he developed an addiction to crack cocaine, and he became the man servant to Mark "B-Dup" Wayne, who made him scrub his toilets and be a "crack slave" for him. However, he was freed by GSF leaders Sweet Johnson and Carl Johnson when they entered B-Dup's crack palace and decided to put an end to his crack dealing, and Thorne decided to not listen to Wayne any longer. He asked if he could rejoin the gang, and the Johnson brothers delivered him to rehab.
