Maurizio Galbaio (767-) was the eldest son of Doge Giovanni of Venice by an unknown mother.
Biography[]
Maurizio was born in 767 to Doge Giovanni of Venice and an unknown mother, and he was a member of the House of Galbaio. During his childhood, he was given a happy upbringing by his father, who taught him to be brave and kind. In 783, he came of age and consolidated his betrothal to Flora Galbaio, whom he was engaged to when he was younger. As the eldest son of Giovanni, he was groomed to be the next patriarch of the Galbaio family and the next Doge, with his father spilling his resources into his campaign fund. In 795, he was granted the Barony of Frankopan after his father seized the land from the High Chiefdom of Croatia.
