
Baron Geronimo of Benevento (born 1294) was the Captain-General of the Papal States from 20 April 1343.
Biography[]
Geronimo was born to the House of Borromeo, a family that ruled the city of Benevento for generations. He was one of Pope Alexander V's lackeys, and on 20 April 1343 he replaced Count Foulques of Venaissin as Captain-General of the Papal Army when Foulques was imprisoned.
