Bamu Ozer

Bamu Ozer (died 20 June 1956) was an Algerian FLN militant during the Algerian War.

Biography[]

Bamu Ozer was born in Algiers, French North Africa to a Sunni Muslim Berber family. Ozer was one of the youths who decided to join forces with the FLN during the Algerian War against the government of France, and on 20 June 1956 he took part in a drive-by shooting in which he shot down two French policemen. The car was forced to stop as police chased it, and Ozer tried to flee on foot. However, a French Army soldier gunned him down before he could escape.
