Balwant Singh Rajoana (23 August 1967-) was a Babbar Khalsa terrorist and the mastermind of the assassination of Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh in 1995.

Balwant Singh Rajoana was born on 23 August 1967 in Rajoana Kalan, Punjab, India. From 1992 to 1995, it was rumored that 25,000+ Sikhs were either murdered or "disappeared" under Chief Minister Beant Singh, so the constable Rajoana and his acquaintance Dilawar Singh Babbar decided to join Babbar Khalsa International. Rajoana won a coin toss and was not the suicide bomber, with Babbar killing Singh in a suicide bombing. Rajoana was imprisoned, saying that the Operation Blue Star offensive in 1984 justified his actions, and he was sentenced to death. However, in 2012 he was given a stay of execution and kept in prison.
