Baltus Hafez

Baltus Hafez (1878-1933) was a British-Egyptian archaologist and curator at the British Museum at the beginning of the 20th century.

Biography[]

Baltus Hafez was born in Cairo. He moved to London in 1895 where he studied his career as archaeologist and historian. Hafez became the curator of the British Museum in 1926. In 1933, he joined Meela Nais in an expedition to found the mummy of Imhotep. Both of them were not seen again, He was left for dead.
