Baldr is the god of beauty in Norse mythology, in addition to light and purity. He was a son of Odin and Frigg, and was the brother of Thor and numerous other brothers. Baldr was the husband of Nanna and the father of Forseti, who was the god of justice and peace. In mythology, he was prophesied to be killed by Hodr, but Vali would avenge him. Hodr killed him by shooting him with a mistletoe arrow when Loki tricked him, and Ragnarok came closer.
