Balari

The Balari were a Nuragic tribe on Sardinia. They were descended from the Iberian and African mercenaries of Carthage, and their name means "fugitives" in Corsi; they founded the city of Palla on Corsica, which they named after themselves. In 177 BC, the Balari were defeated by the Roman Republic after a failed uprising.
