Baka (died 21 February 1968) was a Haitian crime boss who led a gang of Haitian exiles in New Orleans, Louisiana during the 1960s.
Biography[]
Baka was born in Haiti, and he was forced to flee to the United States when Francois Duvalier and his Tonton Macoute secret police began to persecute political opponents. Baka moved to New Orleans, Louisiana, and he became the leader of a gang of criminals based at an abandoned shanty town on the bayou. In 1968, he began to fight with Sammy Robinson and the "black mob", so Lincoln Clay attacked the camp and killed many of his minions. He proceeded to corner Baka, who claimed that he was becoming just like Robinson, and an angry Clay snapped his neck and killed him.
