
Bajram Kosumi (born 20 March 1960) was Prime Minister of Kosovo from 23 March 2005 to 1 March 2006, succeeding Ramush Haradinaj and preceding Agim Ceku.
Biography[]
Bajram Kosumi was born on 20 March 1960 in Kosovska Kamenica, SAP Kosovo, SFR Yugoslavia. Kosumi was a journalist who was imprisoned by Yugoslavia twice for standing up for the rights of Kosovar Albanians, and he served as Minister of Information in the interim government of Kosovo during the Kosovo War without taking up arms or wearig a uniform. From 23 March 2005 to 1 March 2006, Kosumi served as Prime Minister after Ramush Haradinaj resigned due to war crimes indictments, but Kosumi himself was forced to resign in 2006 due to unpopularity; Agim Ceku replaced him.
