Baja California Sur is a state of northern Mexico, with La Paz serving as its capital. The state borders Baja California to the north, while it borders the Pacific Ocean on three sides. The tourist resorts of Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo are both located in the state, while La Paz is both the capital and largest city. In 2015, Baja California Sur had a population of 712,029 people.
