Bahoz Erdal (1969-) is the leader of the Kurdistan Freedom Falcons terrorist group and a commander of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
Biography[]
Bahoz Erdal was born in 1969 in Syria to a family of Kurds, and from June 2004 to July 2004 he served as commander of the People's Defense Forces (HPG), the armed wing of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) group. Along with Murat Karayilan and Cemil Bayik, he was a member of the three-man leadership committee of the PKK. In addition, Erdal was the leader of the Kurdistan Freedom Falcons (TAK) terrorist group, which waged a campaign of bombings against the government of Turkey. Unlike the PKK, the TAK targeted civilians in addition to military targets, and in early 2016 the group carried out two bombings in the Turkish capital of Ankara.
