Springfield CO explosion

Arizona destroying one of the crates at Springfield

The Baca County Hoods were an American outlaw gang of the Wild West, led by Abner Tally. Based out of a homestead in Springfield, Baca County, Colorado, the gang - who named themselves after the folk hero Robin Hood - stole from the industrialist Leviticus Cornwall and sold the merchandise from their base in Springfield. In 1898, the outlaw "The Boy" sent Arizona Kid to smash the stolen loot after the gang refused to cut The Boy in on their operations, and he wiped out the gang and destroyed their merchandise. However, the gang's numbers were frequently replenished by even more self-serving vigilantes who continued to steal from Cornwall and keep the stashed goods for themselves, and The Boy sent Arizona to deal with them several times.
