The BRDM-2 is a Soviet armored scout car that entered service in 1962. The vehicle was exported to at least 38 countries, with most of them being former Soviet republics or Eastern Bloc nations, and the BRDM was seen as a better amphibious vehicle than the BRDM-1, which it replaced. From 1962 to 1989, 7,200 BRDM-2s were manufactured.
