The BMPT Terminator is a Russian armored fighting vehicle that entered service in the Russian Army in 2002. The Terminator was invented with the purpose of creating an infantry fighting vehicle with sufficient protection for urban warfare, as BMP-2s saw heavy losses during the Second Chechen War. However, the Terminator did not see much combat, and only Kazakhstan employed the Terminator by 2013; the T-15 Armata replaced the Terminator in Russia.
