Aylette Buckner (21 July 1806-3 July 1869) was a member of the US House of Representatives (W-KY 4) from 4 March 1847 to 3 March 1849, succeeding Joshua Fry Bell and preceding George Caldwell. Born in Greensburg, the son of the planter Richard A. Buckner, he practiced law before serving in the state house from 1842 to 1843 and in Congress. He was defeated for re-election due to his support for the Wilmot Proviso, and he practiced law in St. Louis before returning to Lexington, Kentucky in 1864 and dying there in 1869. His son Simon Bolivar Buckner would go on to serve as Governor of Kentucky.
