Awadhis are an Indo-Aryan ethnolinguistic group who speak the Awadhi dialect of Hindustani and reside in the Awadh region of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkand, India and the Terai of Nepal. In 2017, the Awadhi world population was approximately 55,000,000 people, the majority of them Hindu or Muslim.
