Aviran ben Gome was a member of the Lesser Sanhedrin of Capernaum during the 20s AD. He was present when Jesus proclaimed that he was the son of God, that he spoke the truth about the Father loving the Son, and that everyone would be amazed by the Son's giving of life to those he wanted to. Along with the other Sanhedrin members, he sought to have Jesus executed for his heretical views, including equating himself with God and breaking the Sabbath laws.
