Authenticity and Development Front

The Authenticity and Development Front is a coalition of moderate Islamist rebel groups in Syria that was founded in November 2012 during the Syrian Civil War. The front was funded by the United States and Saudi Arabia, and it included Islamists, military defectors, and civilian rebels, and the group was affiliated with the Free Syrian Army, Fatah Halab, and formerly the Levant Front. Some member groups included the New Syrian Army, Jaysh Usud al-Sharqiya, Jaysh al-Tawheed, Ahl al-Athar Brigade, and Kataib Allahu Akbar Brigade.
