Austrasia

Austrasia was a kingdom within the Frankish Empire that existed from 567 to 571. The original home of the Frankish tribes, Austrasia was centered at the city of Metz, and the kingdom encompassed northeastern France, Belgium, most of the Netherlands, and parts of central Germany. In 719, Charles Martel led Austrasia to victory over Neustria, uniting the two kingdoms under one banner.
