The Australian Greens is a green political party in Australia that was founded in 1992. The party grew out of the nuclear disarmament movement in western Australia and New South Wales and the Tasmanian green movement, and its four core values are ecological sustainability, social justice, grassroots democracy, and pacifism. In 2017, it held 1/150 House of Representatives seats and 9/76 Senate seats.
