Australia House is the diplomatic mission of Australia in the United Kingdom, located in the Strand district of London, England. The building was built from 1913 to 1918 and opened by King George V and Prime Minister of Australia Billy Hughes on 3 August 1918. The building was built over a 900-year-old sacred well drawing from the River Fleet, a subterranean river. Much of the building materials used to build Australia House were imported from Australia.
