Austin Sharp was born in Miami, Florida, and he became an adult film director before becoming a film producer. He became the manager of Foreplay Pictures, paying a substantial cut to Mexican mob boss Rico Granados in exchange for protection from the police. In 1959, his film set was attacked by Dominic Corleone, who forced him to pay the Trapani crime family protection money.
