Aurora Basin is a large lake located along the Trinity River in the Tall Trees region of East Texas. It was located at a clearing of a dense forest, and the cabin at Swadbass Point was once used as a hunting and fishing retreat before becoming abandoned and later the site of the outlaw Jorge Montez's last stand in 1898.
