Auntie Poulet (born 1900) was a elderly Haitian matriarch and the leader of the Little Haiti community in Miami, Florida.
Biography[]
Auntie Poulet was born in 1900 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and she started up her own tea and drug businesses when she was young. She later immigrated to the United States and settled down in the Little Haiti neighborhood of Miami, where she founded her own gang of Haitian-American. Poulet's gang was involved in violence with Umberto Robina's gang in Little Havana, attempting to move into the Cuban gang's territories and taking over their drug operations. This led to the Little Havana-Little Haiti violence, and 1986 became a bloody year in the two neighborhoods.
