Augustus David Gillmer (1853-1899) was a deputy US Marshal who lived in Steamboat Springs, Colorado during the Wild West era. In 1899, he and several other lawmen were sent to Hanging Dog Ranch to track down Arthur Morgan following his elimination of the O'Driscoll Boys gang at the Hanging Dog Ranch shootout, but Morgan killed all of the lawmen who attempted to capture him.
