Augusto Ramirez Moreno (23 November 1900-19 February 1974) was the Colombian Conservative Party Mayor of Bogota from May 1951 to March 1953, succeeding Luis Eduardo Nieto Caballero and preceding Manuel Briceño Pardo.
Biography[]
Augusto Ramirez Moreno was born in Santo Domingo, Antioquia, Colombia in 1900. Ramirez practiced law after founding a nationalist and anti-communist intellectual group in college, and he entered politics with the Colombian Conservative Party. Ramirez served as Mayor of Bogota from 1951 to 1953, in the House of Representatives and Senate, and in several diplomatic roles until his death in 1974.
