
August of Feinberg (1120-1150) was the Prince of Feinberg from 1148 to 1150, preceding Stephen I of Feinberg. August was born in Saxony, and he was one of the German nobles who embarked on the Second Crusade under Conrad III of Germany in 1148. August was wounded during the war with the Saracens, and he proved himself to be a brave warrior. August was mortally wounded during one battle near Damascus, and Conrad ennobled him on his deathbed. August's son Stephen would become the second prince of the new House of Feinberg.
