Audolf Folkmarsson (826-872) was a Norwegian slave trader who lived in Agder during the late 9th century AD. In 872 AD, he was contracted by King Kjotve the Cruel of Agder to sell Eivor into slavery in Ireland, but Eivor escaped from Audolf's longship by cleverly using the mast to knock out the guards and knock Audolf from the ship. Eivor then used Audolf's keys to unlock his chains before kicking the taunting Audolf's head underwater; the burning boat soon moved over Audolf's head, preventing him from rising up again and leading to him drowning.
