Auburn Pridemore

Auburn Lorenzo Pridemore (27 June 1837-17 May 1900) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-VA 9) from 4 March 1877 to 3 March 1879, succeeding William Terry and preceding James Buchanan Richmond.

Biography[]

Auburn Pridemore was born in Scott County, Virginia in 1837, and he served in the 64th Virginia Mounted Infantry Regiment during the American Civil War, rising to be its colonel. After the war, he practiced law in Jonesville before serving in the state senate from 1871 to 1875 and in the US House of Representatives from 1877 to 1879. He died in Jonesville in 1900.
