Aubrey Lawson (born 2 April 1989) was a British Liberal Democrat politician who served as a member of the Bromland Town Council in Lincolnshire from 7 April 2013 to 22 July 2018 (preceding Darcy Adams) and from 12 August 2019 (succeeding Caelan Dixon).

Biography[]

Aubrey Lawson was born in Bromland, Lincolnshire, England on 2 April 1989 to a middle-class English family. Lawson graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2011 and started her own cosmetics business in her hometown. Lawson became a member of the Liberal Democrats political party, and, in 2013, she and fellow small businesswoman Rene Fletcher won seats on the thirty-seat Bromland Town Council as Liberal Democratic councillors. Lawson served as a councillor for five years, but, in 2018, she lost her seat to UKIP candidate Darcy Adams amid a wave of anti-immigrant sentiment in Bromland. She regained her at-large seat after beating Green candidate Caelan Dixon.
