
Aubin de La Rosee (1663-1726) was the Consul/President of the 1709 Republic from 1709 to 1713. He was penny-pinching and a wise manager of the French navy. Following the fall of the 1709 Republic, Aubin de La Rosee fled to the Netherlands where he was granted exile for the rest of his life. There he wrote his famous memoirs and eventually died.
