Attica is an administrative region of Greece that encompasses the Athens metropolitan area. Attica is located on the eastern edge of central Greece, and the region includes the cities of Athens, Piraeus, Eleusis, Megara, Lavrio, and Marathon, as well as a few islands. In 2011, Attica had a population of 3,828,434 people.
