Attaway Transport was an omnibus company that operated in 19th century London, founded by Pearl Attaway. The company was rivals with the Millner Company of Malcolm Millner, and Millner's company often sabotaged Attaway's omnibuses by using thugs to attack them. In 1868, Attaway hired Jacob Frye to destroy Millner's autobuses at his storage yard, and the two of them succeeded in stealing Millner's internal combustion engine from him. This rivalry culminated in Frye's assassination of Millner on the River Thames, but he discovered from a dying Millner that Attaway was the cousin of Frye's rival, Crawford Starrick, and Frye went on to assassinate Attaway. Attaway's company was dissolved after her death.
