Attack is a Bulgarian nationalist party that was founded on 17 April 2005 by television presenter Volen Siderov. The party had far-right social policies and far-left economic policies; the party supported the recognition of Orthodox Christianity as the state religion, the participation of the Church in all legislative decisions, the government, and education, anti-Semitism, anti-Islam (especially Turks, and ultranationalism, while it supported an increased minimum wage, the breakup of the neoliberal economic model through immediate termination of gold mining concessions, the nationalization of electric companies, the fight against corruption, and development of progressive taxation. Attack would become the fourth-most popular party in Bulgaria during the 2000s due to its far-right and right-wing populist views.
