Biography[]
Atatafi was a general of Axum, and he was given command of the army sent to invade Himyar after merchants from the Byzantine Empire were murdered by the Himyarites. He led 980 troops, and his army fought against the Himyarites at the Battle of Qaryat al-Samar in 410 AD, where he defeated the Himyarite army.
