
The Aswan Quarry is an Ancient Egyptian quarry and open-air museum in Aswan, Egypt. The Aswan quarries were utilized by the Pharaohs to mine red, grey, and black granite for construction projects like Cleopatra's Needle, the unfinished obelisk, the granite sarcophagi of Djoser and Sneferu, and many burial chambers in the Pyramids of Giza.
