Asuka Kasen (5 May 1961 - 17 November 2001) was a Japanese-American criminal and co-leader of the Kasen Yakuza in New York City. She was the sister of infamous Yakuza members Kenji Kasen and Kazuki Kasen.

Biography[]

Kasen was born in Japan on May 5th 1961 to a Yakuza-connected family. She moved to the United States in 1991 to join her older brother, Kazuki Kasen, in running the Yakuza in New York City. In the mid 1990s, she returned to Japan and returned with her other brother, Kenji Kasen, to become co-leader of the Yakuza after Kazuki's death.

2000[]

In 2000, she provided information to small-time criminal Mike Ruggero during his quest for revenge. During 2001, she was introduced to Claude Speed by Maria Latore after Maria's husband, Salvatore Leone aimed to have him killed. Kasen tasked Claude with killing Salvatore Leone in Brooklyn to prove his loyalty, and, after Leone's death, Claude did several favors for her. However, Catalina Vialpando retaliated against Claude by kidnapping Latore and murdering Asuka and her cartel prisoner Miguel Ramirez at a construction site.
