Ashraf al-Ashei (6 June 1985 – 17 January 2008) was a Hamas leader.
Biography[]
Ashraf al-Ashei was born on 6 June 1985 in al-Sabra'a, Gaza Strip to a family that came from Jaffa before the 1948 declaration of independence of Israel. After studying electronics at the Islamic University of Gaza, al-Ashei joined the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades in 2003, and he survived two Fatah assassination attempts. On 17 January 2008 he was killed in an Israeli Air Force drone strike.
