
Tuli Khan Ashina Shibobi (602-632) was Khagan of the Western Turkic Khaganate from 611 to 631, succeeding Yami Qureshi and preceding Ashina Heluohu.
Biography[]
Tuli Khan Ashina Shibobi was the nephew of Jiali Khan, the ruler of the Eastern Turkic Khaganate. In 626 AD, he accompanied his uncle on his invasion of China, but, in 627 AD, he was sent home to put down several tribal rebellions. However, he was defeated, and he was sentenced to ten days in prison for his defeat. Tuli then escaped to Emperor Taizong of Tang, and Taizong helped Tuli fight Jiali, and, in December 629, Tuli submitted to the Tang and was given 700 families as a reward. He died in Bing Province while on his way to Chang'an in 632.
