Asad Divaan was an Iranian IRGC soldier during the Iranian Revolution. In January 1980, he attempted to stop six American hostages from escaping Tehran during the Iran hostage crisis, but their Swissair plane took off just as the IRGC troops rushed onto the runway of the airport to stop them.
