
Arturo Puga (1879-1970) was President of Chile from 4 to 16 June 1932, succeeding Juan Esteban Montero and preceding Carlos Davila.
Biography[]
Arturo Puga Osorio was born in Santiago, Chile in 1879, and he served as an army officer before taking part in the 1932 coup which ousted President Juan Esteban Montero from office. On 13 June 1932, Carlos Davila forced him to resign as army commander-in-chief, instead naming Puga to the military junta. He died in 1970.
