Arturo Meza Cazares (died 8 May 2008) was a friend of Edgar Guzman Lopez and an associate of the Sinaloa Cartel.
Biography[]
Arturo Meza was the son of drug trafficker Blanca Margarita Cazares Salazar, and he became an associate of the Sinaloa Cartel after befriending El Chapo's son Edgar Guzman Lopez. The two of them were involved in drug smuggling, and they flew out to Chicago in the United States in 2008 to sell some cocaine. Upon their return, they drove back into Culiacan in a red SUV, which was mistaken for Arturo Beltran Leyva's vehicle by some of El Chapo's men. These men proceeded to fire on the car as it was parked outside of a shopping complex, riddling the two youths with bullets and killing them.
