Arthur Jerard Weaver (18 November 1873-18 October 1945) was the Republican Governor of Nebraska from 3 January 1929 to 8 January 1931, succeeding Adam McMullen and preceding Charles W. Bryan.
Biography[]
Arthur Jerard Weaver was born in Falls City, Nebraska in 1873, and he served as city attorney from 1899 to 1902, in the State House in 1899, as county attorney from 1902 to 1903, Mayor of Falls City in 1915, as a Republican presidential elector in 1920, as Governor from 1929 to 1931, as a delegate to the 1932 Republican National Convention, and Chair of the Richardson County Republican Party in 1940. He died in 1945.
