Arthur Finger

Arthur Finger (18 January 1898-27 January 1945) was a Major-General of the Wehrmacht of Nazi Germany during World War II.

Biography[]

Arthur Finger was born on 18 January 1898 in Thorn, Pomerania, in the German Empire (present-day Torun, Poland). He received the Iron Cross during World War I and rose to the rank of Major-General in Nazi Germany's Wehrmacht during World War II. Finger fought in conflicts in the Soviet Union and Operation Silver Fox in Finland, and was killed in the Vistula-Oder Offensive on 27 January 1945 near Tschenstochau in Poland by the Red Army.
