Arshavir Shirakian (1900-12 April 1973) was an Armenian Revolutionary Federation assassin in Operation Nemesis.
Biography[]
Arshavir Shirakian was born in 1900 in Constantinople, Ottoman Empire to a family of Armenians. He smuggled weapons to the Armenian Revolutionary Federation to fight against the Turks during the Armenian Genocide, and after the end of World War I, he was one of the ARF assassins in Operation Nemesis. He killed Said Halim Pasha in Rome and Behaeddin Shakir and Cemal Azmi in Berlin, and he went on to move to the United States. He died in Hackensack, New Jersey in 1973.
