The Arrow Cross Party was a fascist political party in Hungary that existed from 15 March 1939 to 28 March 1945. Founded as the Party of National Will in 1935, the party was led by Ferenc Szalasi, who supported agrarianism, nationalism, and anti-Semitism, and it was installed in power by Nazi Germany on 15 October 1944 after the Wehrmacht's occupation of Hungary. 15,000 Jews, gypsies, and other "undesirables" were murdered by the regime and 80,000 deported to Austrian concentration and extermination camps, and many of the Arrow Cross Party's leaders would be executed for war crimes after the Soviet occupation of Hungary in 1945 at the end of World War II.
