Aron Kadish

Aron Kadish (4 June 1882-17 April 1919) was a Bolshevik commissar during the Russian Revolution and Polish-Soviet War.

Biography[]

Aron Kadish was born on 4 June 1882 in Baranovichi, Russian Empire (present-day Baranavichy, Belarus) to a Jewish family. Kadish joined the Imperial Russian Army in 1900 and served in combat during World War I, fighting against the Imperial German Army. Kadish joined the Red Army in the aftermath of the 1917 Russian Revolution, and he became a political officer under the Bolsheviks. He served on the front against Poland during the years following the revolution, and he was killed in action during the Battle of Lida on 17 April 1919.
